Requirements for Participation

Medical

A medical exam (athletic physical) and parental permission are required for all student athletes, and should be on file in the nurse's office and with each coach prior to participation in any school try-out, practice, scrimmage or game. We strongly encourage student athletes to receive an electrocardiogram (EKG) before participating in any sports activities.

This policy is consistent with all DoDEA schools, the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) and is a "best practice" to ensure student-athlete safety. To be clear, Ramey student-athletes may only be permitted to try-out for Ramey athletics once a physical has been presented to their coach.

Insurance

Students participating in the athletic program are not covered for injuries incurred during games or in practice. Parents must provide medical insurance for their children.
