Mr. Larry Daffin

Biography

Mr. Larry Daffin comes from Antilles Elementary School on Fort Buchanon, Puerto Rico, were he served as Principal.  While at Antilles Elementary School, he championed the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports and focused on implementing practices that developed the whole child.  

Mr. Daffin has been with DoDEA since 2011.  His previous administrative assignments include West Point, NY, and Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Prior to becoming an administrator, Mr. Daffin was a math teacher and coach for DoDEA in Heidelberg and Hohenfels, Germany. Prior to joining DoDEA, he served as a high school math teacher and coach in Washington and Texas. 

Mr. Daffin earned his bachelor’s degree in American legal studies from the United States Military Academy at West Point and commissioned in the United States Army as a Transportation Officer. Mr. Daffin’s continued education includes a master’s degree in educational administration from Texas A&M Kingsville and completed doctoral coursework in Educational Leadership at New York University Steinhardt.  

Mr. Daffin is married to COL Kandace Daffin, United States Army.  He and Kandace have three adult children, Joshua, McKenzie and McKayla.
